Wild, populated by snow-covered spruce trees and chalets snuggled under the snowflakes, there's no doubt you've arrived at the foot of the Grand-Bornand Nordic ski area.
You'll discover your hostel, "L'Auberge Nordique", at the foot of the slopes, and meet the rest of the weekend team. It's also here that you'll be equipped to send off some skating moves worthy of the name!
And to get your trip off to a good start, we'll get you into the local mood without further ado with a "Cocktail du chef" aperitif featuring verbena and our famous Génépi!

Have you had your fill of energy over breakfast? No excuses then, it's time to start pushing, and not just on any terrain! Here you are, propelled onto the mythical terrain of the Biathlon World Cup. We have every intention of making you a champion, just like Sylvie Becaert, double world champion and Olympic medallist from Le Grand-Bornand!
This morning you're getting your bearings, it's a bit of a pre-race warm-up. Mylène gives you all the tips you need to improve your technique and manage your effort. 80 km of trails await you, combining physical performance with the pleasure of pushing your limits.
You've earned yourself a warm break at the inn, where you can recharge your batteries and get dry if you've been sweating it out!

We're not here to empty Grandpa Henry's genepi cellar! Get out your spatulas, warm up and get behind your rifle. Your 5 targets are at 10 m, so we're off to a gentle start. The goal? See the white paddles cover all your black targets!
Mylène will teach you how to find the right position, control your breath and your stability. You didn't think you were going to take it easy, did you? You'll do a series of skating loops to fine-tune your style before lining up your sight and pulling the trigger.
It's all about technique, managing your body and breathing... Being world champion doesn't happen overnight!
Well, this time you can take it easy without remorse because you've earned it: whirlpool bath, sauna, hammam, enough to relax all your muscles after this very sporty day.

It's off again for a morning's training on the 10m shooting range before getting down to business! With your rifle on your back, you learn how to slide without tiring yourself out, how to set up efficiently on the mat and how to replace your rifle without losing time for the next loop.
Standing shooting will require good instinct, while prone shooting will require formidable precision. In both cases, you'll have (almost) no secrets left after the session.
Final sprint to the hostel to put your feet under the table and take stock of all the advice you've received this morning.

22 LR rifle
Put yourself in the shoes of a Biathlon world champion!
This afternoon, we're doing things the real way, in real conditions. Equipped with a 22 LR rifle (just like the real champions), you'll compete on the Sylvie Becaert International Biathlon Stadium, where the World Cup events take place.
It's time to put everything you've learned over the weekend into practice, but be careful, this time the shooting range is 50m away... You can't hit the target anymore? Control your movements, clear your mind, hold your breath and shoot!
After a faultless run (which is all we hope for), you're back at the inn in no time, waxed like a pro!
