Captain Wild, a company registered in the Lyon Trade and Companies Register under number IM 852697143 and headquartered in Annecy 74940, a French travel agency specializing in outdoor holidays and branded experiences, wishes to inform you of the measures implemented to protect your personal data and privacy in accordance with current legislation and more particularly with the provisions of the amended French Data Protection Act of January 6, 1978, the European Regulation 2016/679 and the recommendations issued by the CNIL (hereinafter referred to as "Current Legislation").

In accordance with current legislation, you have the right to access, oppose, rectify, delete and limit the processing of your personal data. You also have the right to define directives concerning the fate of your personal data after your death. As responsible for the processing of your personal data, Captain Wild wishes to respond to your concerns regarding the confidentiality of the information you transmit to us by all means of communication, in particular: website(s) published and operated by Captain Wild, chat, telephone communications (hereinafter "the Communication Channels") with a view to offering you our products and services.

We may obtain information about you from other sources. For example, we may solicit a third-party supplier or collector to provide us with additional information about our existing customers (data appending), including information from your profile or postings on a third-party social network.

We may also collect information from your profile on a third-party social network (notably Facebook and Instagram) if you authorize the third-party social network to share it with us or if you post it publicly. This information may include general information relating to your account (e.g. name, e-mail address, profile photo, gender, date of birth, current city, username, list of friends, etc.) and any other information or activity that you authorize to be shared with us via the third-party social network that you upload publicly on your profile. For example, we may receive your social network information (or part of it) when you download or interact with one of our applications on a social network site (including Facebook and Instagram). When you provide us with your personal data, you authorize us to use, analyze and store it and, if necessary, to pass it on to our partners when required to process your requests. By communicating personal data to us via the Communication Channels, you accept this policy. Our policy may be modified to take account of changes in current legislation concerning personal data. We will keep you informed of any such changes.

DATA RELATING TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

This is information concerning you as a natural or legal person, which you have voluntarily communicated to Captain Wild via the various Communication Channels and which is essential for the design, realization, communication and sale of your trip (such as your surname, first name, e-mail address, telephone number, postal address, date of birth, etc.).

This information is essential for processing your requests for travel services. Unfortunately, we will not be able to process your requests without this information.

DATA RELATING TO THE PERSONAL INFORMATION OF THIRD PARTIES

As part of your option or quote request and subsequently your registration or form filling, you have the possibility to fill in the contact details of one or more other persons (other trip participants or persons who participated in a gift list or other events (union, anniversary....), person to contact in case of emergency ...).

In this case, Captain Wild will use the data of the other persons only to ensure the processing of an option or a request for quote and subsequently a registration. If Captain Wild wishes to use the data of other persons for a purpose other than those mentioned above, Captain Wild will first request their consent.

Consequently, you guarantee Captain Wild that the other persons whose data you communicate are informed of this transmission concerning them and accept it.

Captain Wild will inform the persons whose personal data it has collected indirectly, of their rights under this policy, at the time of its first communication to the other persons informed by email and including all information useful for the organization of their Stay.

MINORS

The various Communication Channels are not, in principle, intended for use by minors without the authorization of their parents or legal guardians. A minor of at least 16 years of age may request an option or a quote for the organization of a Stay and provide the personal data necessary for this purpose. Captain Wild will make every effort to verify the age of the minor, taking into account the information provided and the technological means available. Under no circumstances will the minor be able to finalize, validate and pay for the Stay without the consent of the holder of parental authority.

Captain Wild makes reasonable efforts to verify that consent is given or authorized by the holder of parental authority over the minor, given the technological means available.

SENSITIVE DATA

Captain Wild may collect special category data such as health data (disability, allergy or special conditions) and indirectly data concerning the religion, beliefs or personal convictions of the persons concerned, although this data is never collected directly and is only collected by deduction (in the case of diet). This data is collected solely for the purposes of organizing the transport and stay of the person concerned, and will not be used in any other way.

Data relating to your browsing on the site (cookies)

During your browsing on the Captain Wild website, temporary cookies may be stored on your computer.

For what purposes is your data collected?

RESPOND TO YOUR REQUESTS

When you contact Captain Wild via the various Communication Channels mentioned above, your personal data may be collected for the following purposes:

  • The provision of access to the dedicated Captain Wild Site to enable you, in particular, to consult your Stay file and/or any information relating to it;
  • The execution of requests you have made on the Site or through other Communication Channels (booking with our partners, drawing up your sales contract, monitoring the completion of the services of your Stay, monitoring all requests from you in respect of your Stay, including after the return of your Stay, in accordance with legal prescription periods, etc.);
  • The sending of newsletters and any other documentation (brochures in particular) that you have requested;
  • Answering your questions and requesting advance information on the availability of a Stay ;
  • To inform you of new Stays or similar services that may be of interest to you;
  • More generally, compliance with Captain Wild's legal, regulatory, accounting and tax obligations;
  • Handle requests and complaints made by or about yourself in connection with the Stay.

GENERATE STATISTICS

Within the framework of the improvement of our services, the personal data concerning you collected by Captain Wild can also have for finality:

  • Statistical calculations, in particular concerning Site traffic;
  • Surveys and polls;
  • Conducting studies and research to improve your experience with Captain Wild.

SOLICIT YOU FOR MARKETING OPERATIONS

Your data may also be used for commercial purposes:

  • Manage all newsletter subscriptions and unsubscriptions at your request;

How and for how long?


SECURING YOUR DATA

As the party responsible for processing your personal data, Captain Wild implements all the technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure the protection of your personal data: access control, backups, traceability, security of premises, protection measures and ensures that the amount of data processed is limited in relation to the purposes for which it is used.


DATA RETENTION PERIOD

We store this information for a period that is proportionate and necessary to the purpose for which we process it, and in any event for as long as is necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation. Data is kept for no longer than is necessary for the following purposes:

  • NEWSLETTER: your data will be kept for as long as your subscription is active. You can cancel your subscription at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link.
  • OPTION, QUOTATION REQUEST, REGISTRATION AND PERFORMANCE OF TRAINING SERVICES: the data required to process your request will be kept for the time necessary to draw up a quotation or contract, and then for the duration of your stay in accordance with applicable legislation, and in any case for the time necessary to meet a legal or regulatory obligation.
  • SALES OFFERS: your data will be kept for as long as you agree to receive our sales offers. You can refuse them at any time by unsubscribing via the link provided.
  • STATISTICS AND SURVEYS: your data will be kept for as long as is necessary to compile reliable statistics and to process surveys carried out with your consent.

CAPTAIN WILD AND HIS PARTNERS

We would like to inform you that in order to enable the performance of the purposes mentioned in the article concerning the purposes above, your data may be stored, processed and transferred to subsidiaries and/or partners of Captain Wild, in particular to suppliers of booked services (hoteliers, guides, restaurateurs, manufacturers' brands, equipment vendors, carriers, etc.) or technical service providers (IT, hosting, e-mail distribution, online payment service provider, etc.), which may be located outside the European Union.

Our subsidiaries and/or partners undertake to use your personal data only to carry out certain tasks that are essential to achieving the purposes mentioned in the "purposes" section above, in strict compliance with your personal data protection rights and in accordance with current legislation.


NON-PARTNER THIRD PARTIES

Captain Wild will not transfer or sell your personal data to any third party. We do not pass on any personal data to agencies or companies for marketing or commercial purposes.

If the law, an authority (for example the tax administration or the CNIL) or a judge were to oblige Captain Wild to communicate data in personal matter concerning you, Captain Wild commits itself, as far as possible, to inform you of it (except if Captain Wild is not authorized to do it in particular taking into account the legal or judicial obligations which could fall to him).

Finally, we may acquire, merge with or be acquired by another company, or dispose of all or part of our assets. In such a case, your personal data may be communicated to another company, but this communication will be subject to our current Privacy and Cookies policy.


How do links to other sites affect me?

We may from time to time place links on our Site to other websites and applications operated by third parties. These links are provided solely for your convenience and are intended to add value to your visit. However, by including these links, we have no control over these websites and applications, which are independent from Captain Wild and have separate privacy policies.
