Story

Hi, there,

is Guillaume, the other...

I'm the sailor on the team! I grew up in Saint Brieuc in the Côtes d'Armor region, and that's where I got my first taste of the water.

In Brittany, it's easy to sail because there's always a friend with a good plan to get on board. And that's how I caught the bug. First on small boats to go round in the water in the bay, then quickly on bigger sailboats for long-distance trips.

I've sailed on just about every type of boat, from 6.50 to 50-footers, leisure catamarans and even a Pogo Class 40 fitted out for the Route du Rhum. But my little nugget and my best memories are certainly on a Muscadet, a marine plywood cut out for the mini transatlantic race. There are always things to tinker with on this kind of craft, and maybe that's what I like about it.

I'm really into cruising with friends, especially when it comes to touring the Morbihan islands. There's nothing like a little sail with a stopover in Hoedic to make you feel better: a plate of oysters, a bottle of white wine, simple pleasures are always the best.

I've also done some sailing abroad, in the West Indies, Croatia and England, but my dream would really be to do a transatlantic race. It's complicated to go away for several weeks when you're working and have to juggle family life, but it's in my life's to-do list!

But there's more to life than the sea. I've been a Savoyard for nearly 16 years, so I had to get into the mountains. It's not easy to put a board on your feet at the age of 26 to learn to glide on snow, but once you've caught the bug, it's impossible to stop. Ever since I arrived, I've been going out one after the other... in winter on a snowboard in freeride or split mode, and in summer on family outings or in the Alps with my partner and colleague Guillaume. He's the one who introduced me to the sport and took me to my first races: Ailefroide Orientale, Dôme des Ecrins, Arête des Cosmiques...

Sea and Mountain, parallel universes but so close, with the same fundamental values.

At Captain Wild, I'm in charge of building the trips. My guiding principle is simple: Does this holiday make me dream? If it is, it goes into production, if it's not, it goes into the basket 😉

Maybe we'll bump into each other on a holiday, and I can tell you that if we do, it'll always be with a good beer in hand.
