The Vallée Blanche is the run that every good skier must have ticked off his list!
But rather than taking the cruise control on the freeway with traffic jams, we're proposing a fork in the road via "le chemin des écoliers" between wild slopes and Séracs. For these 2 exclusive days, we've planned a program of intensefreerideskiing , with a local guide and the brand-new DEUTERAlproof Airbag for you to try out.
Will it be a hot day on the Chamonix domains in search of powder?
The only highway you're going to take this weekend is the one of kiff!
The meeting point is set for Friday evening at the Plan B hotel. It's the perfect time to meet your guide and fellow riders. We'll have a gear briefing to make sure everything's up and running, and to check the weather and conditions so we can choose the best freeride lines for the following day.
DEUTER will give you an Airbag, which you'll fill with your safety gear and the things you'll need for the day.
It's also an opportunity to take a trip to Chamonix, the world-renowned mythical town, to soak up the legendary atmosphere.

We heat up the thighs on one of the valley's legendary spots
It's time to get out of bed - today's the big day! Your guide joins you for coffee at around 8:30 and then it's off to the summit. We start the day with avalanche transceiver drills, to watch out for avalanche risks. We climb up to Bochard for a warm-up run, where your Captain will give you his first tips.
Ready for the main course? Let's tackle the Grands Montets, the valley's legendary freeride zone. There are plenty of itineraries to choose from, and your guide will share his secret spots with you. Expect to put your skis in the bag, because we'll be looking for the best.
The whole day will be spent in the surrounding area, with plenty of lines to ride. We'll finish at 5:30pm.

Atop the iconic rocky peak
We know you're hungry for more, so here's something to whet your appetite. Just like the day before, your Captain will pick you up at the hotel at the same time and we'll take the ascent to the Aiguille du Midi. Enjoy the panorama...
We first descend the snow ridge (beware of the atmosphere...), then begin the descent via the second itinerary.
Depending on conditions and group level, we'll go for the Rognon variant or the Envers, small, medium or large. The idea is to go for the Seracs and powder atmosphere, which is only accessible with the accompaniment of a mountain guide if you don't want to get lost.
Depending on the itinerary, we'll make a short stop at the refuge du requin. The return journey is via the Montevers station, either by train or by foot if you're lucky...
As the day draws to a close, it's time to debrief your performance. End of stay scheduled for 4:00 pm.
ATTENTION, the program may vary due to weather and snow conditions. We'll do our utmost to offer you the best itineraries, but the laws of the outdoors are capricious, and safety comes first.
It's not enough to bring home dad-in-law's homemade gentian, farmhouse reblochon or his brand new down jacket - you'll have to take it all up there!
In all our adventures, our backpack is our best companion for epic mountain runs or well-equipped day-rides.
