Splitboard France x Captain Wild
Their aim is to bring together as many French-speaking splitboarders as possible, to shape a new approach to snowboarding.
For more than 45 years, snowboarders have been searching for powder fields with the strength of their calves, first on foot (often poorly shod), then on snowshoes, then on approach skis, and in the 90s with that magic split board that allows you to go up in skins and down sideways.
A tool for freeing riders from the slopes and ski lifts par excellence, splitboarding was born over 30 years ago, with long but very marked phases of evolution. The pandemic was the last, strong enough to be noticed, and today this practice is rallying an ever-growing community and linking the rider to his element.
Its roots are solid, and it continues to make its mark with passionate practitioners.
That's why they'd like to honour all that we've achieved so far, but also to bring together all the goodwill we can muster to continue writing our history in the purest spirit of sliding and riding!

"Splitboard France is an association created at the end of 2021 that works to promote, coordinate and defend the practice of splitboarding, but, also and more broadly, to federate practitioners and professionals in the field, thanks to varied and friendly field actions."
