THE DAKINE WORD
It was in the Pacific, on the island of Hawaii in 1979, that the DAKINE adventure began, with founder Rob Kaplan launching his concept, Da Kine in Hawaiian Creole, derived from "The Kind, The Best", and becoming the benchmark for surf leashes.
Initially specializing in the manufacture of surfing accessories, DAKINE then diversified into skiing and snowboarding. Highly technical, DAKINE creations are designed for even the most demanding sportsmen and women.
