Story

Before big waves became an addictive attraction in his life, Pierre Rollet was an arduous competitive surfer. Trained at the Pôle France and a medallist at European championships, he paid his own way into the European Pro Junior events, so as to be even more motivated to score!

But another challenge takes him by storm: big waves. The advantage of going through the Pôle France is that you don't have any shortcomings in the technical basics of surfing. A good bottom-turn, a good trajectory... And in big-wave surfing, such technique counts for a lot, especially when it comes to ensuring commitment. Small but muscular, Pierre is a powerful surfer, useful for solid support in big surf. Backed up at the start by another Angloy big surfer, Stéphane Iralour, the youngster cut his teeth in tow-in off the Anglet spots, before venturing to Belharra and getting a taste for the infinite, vertiginous slope of the Basque breakers.
